Merle Berg

Sports scientist, sports mental trainer & contextual coach

As many know, handball is not just about physical strength. Decisions have to be made at top speed and the ball has to be put away at the last second. To ensure this, a good, sport-psychological basis in terms of self-confidence and mental strength is needed. Merle Berg is responsible for this. She is a sports scientist, sports mental trainer, contextual coach and is currently finishing her master's degree in applied sports psychology. Merle is also a handball player herself and has, among other things, played with HLZ Ahlen ("Handball performance center Ahlen") in the junior national league. She works with athletes and teams to develop their performance potential. This involves the basics mentioned above, but also mental attitudes and tools that enable an increase in performance.
